The Intermediate Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) has approved the New Grading System for Matric and Intermediate Examinations which will be implemented across the Pakistan over the Three years.
Under the New Grading System, the recent Grade System is replaced by “10 Point Grade System” and the passing marks has been increased from 33% to 40% while the term Fail (F) has been removed and replaced by Unsatisfactory (U).
New Grading System
- 95 to 100%: A++ or Exceptional
- 90 to 95% : A+ or Outstanding
- 85 to 90% : A or Remarkable
- 80 to 85% : B++ or Excellent
- 75 to 80% : B+ or Very Good
- 70 to 75% : B or Good
- 60 to 70% : C or Fair
- 50 to 60% : D or Satisfactory
- 40 to 50% : E or Sufficient
