The Inter Boards Chairmen Committee (IBCC) is considering a new Grading System for Matric and Intermediate Examinations all over the Pakistan.
According to the Chairman of Sindh Technical Board, Masroor Shaikh “The present six point grading system (A+, A, B, C, D, E) would be replaced by Nine Point Grading System (A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C, D, E). The matter is already discussed in 171st meeting of IBCC and the final decision is expected in next meeting of IBBC”.
The Chairman of Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) said that the new system will be beneficial for students as it will differentiate between a student who gets 90% and a student who gets 81%. Beaking the A-Grade into 3 different grades (A+, A, A-) will increase the competition among the students and quality of education.
