Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the criteria for MDCAT 2023:
- Each province, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad will conduct the test on the dates approved by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, for admission in MBBS and BDS in Public and Private medical colleges.
- MDCAT passing is compulsory for admission in both public and private medical colleges.
- Admission criteria in public medical colleges will be decided by federal government and provisional government.
- Private medical colleges can take an extra entrance test or interview but 50% MDCAT is compulsory.
- The MDCAT result of one province will be valid for the entire country.
- The MDCAT result will be valid for three years.
- Each province shall give preference to the students having domicile of their respective province.
